Scotland Agriculture Bill Consultation

Faced with threats to our food supply from climate change, the war in Ukraine and other factors, the Scottish Agriculture Bill is of great importance. A consultation on the Bill is open until 21st November. It builds upon the Vision for Agriculture, published in March this year, outlining an ambition for Scotland to become “a global leader in sustainable and regenerative agriculture”, and will underpin Scottish agricultural policy for generations to come. It is therefore important to get it right.  See here for a briefing on the Bill by the Scottish Crofting Federation.

As well as the online consultation, there are eight regional events in locations across Scotland, including one on Skye on 6th October. This will be a general session looking at the proposals of the Agriculture Bill. To register for the free event, click here.
