On 10th July over 50 people gathered at An Crùbh to watch The People’s Emergency Briefing on the climate and nature crisis, hosted by ReRoot. The film has now been shown in over 2,000 community settings around the UK to raise awareness of the issues and build public support to push for decisive political action. This screening was followed by robust discussion on the night and we aim to have a follow-up session late in August to plan practical responses.
We hope that there will be further screenings around Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh in the coming months, so that more people can be informed about the impacts of climate and nature disruption on everyday life, and about ways to avoid, lessen or manage those impacts. The ReRoot team would be delighted to support anyone interested in showing the film locally.

The National Emergency Team urges those who have watched the Briefing, to contact their MP / MSP calling for a prime time televised emergency briefing on the climate and nature crisis, introduced by the prime minister and delivered by independent experts.
