Stop AI Data Centres: march in Edinburgh

Friends of the Earth Scotland: Stop AI Data centres march, Edinburgh
Sat 14 November, Edinburgh Royal Mile
There are over 20 data centres already proposed and more in the pipeline, which would need twice as much electricity as Scotland’s peak usage, with huge consequences for energy bills, water, health, communities, climate and nature.
Friends of the Earth Scotland are calling for a national conversation about the rollout of AI and mega data centres, before any decisions are made.
The march is brought together by a broad coalition of grassroots groups, charities, communities and individuals and is part of the European Days of Action on AI Data Centres and Global Days of Action taking place to coincide with UN climate talks COP31. Sign up here.
