26 pocket orchards planted in Wester Ross

With help from the Pebble Trust, local volunteers have planted 202 fruit fruit trees, including apples, plums and cherries. There are now in 26 pocket orchards in 13 villages, from Ullapool to Plockton. As well as providing fresh fruit, with all the attendant health benefits, the orchards are also increasing biodiversity in a depleted landscape.
