Catriona Ferguson of the Highland Good Food Partnership will join our chat.
Highland Good Food Partnership is made up of people from across Highland region who want to create a better food system. This includes community projects such as allotments, food banks and emergency food provision, community growing and markets, and the circular food economy with waste minimisation and composting. Group members meet to exchange information and ideas.
Skye Climate Action has links with the Highland Good Food Partnership, and attends meetings of the Community Food Thematic Group. The group has recently been awarded funding from Sustainable Food Places to provide a year of workshops, webinars and other resources for community food growing groups. We plan to discuss possibilities for tapping into this funding for project ideas arising from our Food Conversations.
