Scottish Government Consultations, April & May

The Scottish Government is consulting on Community benefits from net zero energy developments. This is “a review of the Good Practice Principles for onshore and offshore renewable energy, which seeks to ensure that our guidance helps communities and developers get the best from community benefits” Closes 11 April.

You can also contribute your views via an online meeting with the Highlands and Islands Hub,  Wednesday 9 April, 7-8:30 pm,  to discuss how community benefit can be maximised through the potential opportunities and how communities should be involved in decision making. Register here.

The Scottish Government is also seeking comments on the Natural Environment (Scotland) Bill. The Bill “aims to support the protection and restoration of Scotland’s natural environment, and to assist the delivery of the Scottish Government’s net zero and biodiversity objectives.”  Closes 9 May.
