Highland Council’s objection to erecting nine 200-m high wind turbines at Ben Aketil has triggered a public enquiry – date yet to be announced. The enquiry is expected to report by autumn 2025 to Scottish ministers, who will make the final decision. People who have made representations are being notified of the arrangements.
If you objected to the proposals to rebuild Ben Aketil with 200m high turbines (twice the current height) and received an email from the DPEA last week inviting you to take part in the Public Inquiry, PLEASE OPT IN. More information here.
You can follow progress of the case and view the information being considered by the reporter at www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk.
