On October 20th, Stop Climate Chaos Scotland (SCCS) launched their ‘Financing Climate Justice’ report produced by Jubilee Scotland, Oxfam Scotland, SCIAF and the SCCS International Group. The report makes the case for climate action to include significant financial support for communities on the front line of this crisis to help them adapt and to recover from climate-induced natural disasters. The report calls on the Scottish Government to increase its Climate Justice Fund to reach more communities globally, and to host pre-COP meetings with representatives from the global south to develop a clear roadmap for Scottish Government support to key global south issues at COP26.
