Scotland’s Climate Assembly is starting soon, bringing together a group of people together who are broadly representative of the Scottish population. These Assembly Members will take on the task of learning about, discussing, and making recommendations on how best to tackle climate change. Specifically, the Assembly will be asked to consider ‘How should Scotland change to tackle the climate emergency in an effective and fair way?’ In 2021, the Assembly will report to the Scottish Parliament on the outcomes of their deliberations.
Participation in the Assembly is by invitation only, but until 26th October anyone can submit their ideas on what the Assembly should discuss and who should speak at the Assembly, as well as your ideas on how Scotland can reach net-zero. To contribute your views click here.
