How well is Scotland tackling climate change?

The Scottish government has set itself a legally-binding target to cut greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2045, five years ahead of the date set for the UK as a whole. 

Next November Scotland will be in the spotlight when it hosts the COP26 climate change conference attended by leaders of almost all the countries in the world.

Much progress has been made, but the hardest changes are still to come. This BBC article gives an overview of what Scotland is doing, and what still needs to be done.
