We had over 150 visitors to our four Waste Not days in March.
Lots of like minded folk came along to donate items they no longer needed – choosing to offer them to others who might need or want their pre-loved items and, at the same time, saving these still useful items from going to landfill.
Some people came looking for items in particular and were amazed to find just what they needed. Others, who just came to see what we had and were surprised at the range of items on offer, went away with something ‘new-to-them’. “One person’s trash is another’s treasure!”
Despite the weather there were lots of smiling faces and happy people from all over Skye and Lochalsh – some discovering Waste Not for the first time as well as our regulars. From golf clubs to cocktail fountains, carpets to soup makers, plant pots to wool coats and hats, school bags to candles Waste Not has something for everyone.
