The Scottish Government’s instruction to local authorities to use money set aside for restoring nature for funding wage settlements shows just how important it is that Highland Council has a strong Ecology Strategy and Action Plan
The plan addresses the urgent ecological emergency, aiming for a nature-positive Highland by 2030 and restoring biodiversity by 2045. The Council’s consultation, open until 30th September, is a valuable opportunity to say what is important to you about the plan, give your support to proposals you like and suggest any improvements or additions you’d like included.
