Organised by GrassRoots to Global, Just Walk brings folks from around and beyond Scotland on a walking assembly for Land Justice “to bring alive and respond to the history of communities having been cleared from their lands by an empire that tried to break peoples culture and connectedness.” Land activists from Kenya and Canada will be joining the walk.
Just Walk is starting with a community lunch, stories, songs and a play in Broadford on 16th September. The plan is then for the walkers to set out on 17th September to camp overnight at Boreraig. The walk will continue to Armadale, Inverie, Kinlocheil, Cona Glen and Glen Coe staying overnight at various locations. After joining the West Highland Way the walkers will go on to Crianlarich and Loch Lomond, arriving on the Clyde on 7th October. Some details may change.
