NatureScot has launched its consultation on the first voluntary, industry standard for peatland restoration, for anyone involved in caring for peatlands. The guidance includes principles for decision making, legal requirements and good practice, covering protection, management and restoration of peatland. It also covers the interaction between best practice and other land management activities such as muirburn, grazing, afforestation, and development. The consultation closes on 28th August.
