Broadford and Strath Community Company has won funds to work with Skye Climate Action and local communities to raise awareness of how consumption contributes to climate change and develop solutions that support a local circular economy. This is a fantastic opportunity to tackle key issues that Skye Climate Action supporters have consistently highlighted, building on some of the ideas that have emerged in our discussions and practical actions over the past year.
The project is part of the Highland Community Waste Partnership, funded by the the National Lottery Community Fund. It involves eight community organisations across Highland and is co-ordinated by Keep Scotland Beautiful.
