SCA Electrical Amnesty – domestic appliance recycling
September 25 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Drop off your unwanted domestic electrical appliances – large or small, anything with a plug or battery – at Kyleakin Community Hall between 11 am and 1 pm.
PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF ITEMS OUTWITH THESE TIMES.
Items will be collected by ILM Highland and either fully recycled or selected for reuse. Items suitable for reuse are removed from the waste stream and taken to their Reuse Workshop to undergo a thorough testing, cleaning and refurbishment process, including PAT testing, ready for sale.
Some items are kept for repair and re-use on Skye.

Very happy to announce that we now have a ‘small electricals’ Bring Bank Bin located in Kyleakin car park, next to the clothing recycling container. Bright pink and hard to miss, this is available 24 hrs and anything with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled!
PLEASE NOTE:
– Recycle batteries, vapes and lightbulbs separately.
– If the bin is full or your item is too large for the container opening, do not leave items next to the bin. Instead, meet the ILM Highland van at one of the monthly drop off sessions at Kyleakin Community Hall.
