Much of today’s food and drink is encased in plastic – and most of that is single-use. Sadly, far too much finds its way into the oceans where huge accumulations, such as The Great Pacific Garbage Patch are found. X Trillion follows an all-woman crew sailing 3,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean to investigate this anthropogenic horror. Nevertheless, the film is billed as ‘a story of hope, filled with life, magic and a call to action that burns with optimism.’
