Until the end of the World was released in February this year. It investigates fish farming across three continents, meeting local communities fighting against the expansion of fish farms.
Aquaculture is the fastest growing food industry in the world. It aspires to be a sustainable solution to feed a growing global population. Although not featured in this documentary, aquaculture is also growing in Scotland – and around Skye – providing ‘valuable jobs and income for the Scottish economy’.
What relevance does the film have for our situation? We hope to have people with a range of perspectives taking part in the discussion, so come along and join in.
