Ostaig Beach (Sleat) marine litter survey

The fourth quarterly marine litter survey of Ostaig Beach will be on Saturday 26 July.

Sleat Nature Group, working in collaboration with Loughborough University, is quantifying the amount and type of marine litter in 10x10m quadrats, based on Scottish Islands Federation and Marine Conservation ociety methodology. The data collected will help to persuade policy makers of the need to tackle marine litter at source.
