Cosaig Growers Open Day + ReRoot visit
The ReRoot visit to Cosaig Growers in Glenelg will combine with their Open Day. There will be opportunity to tour the area, ask questions, talk with fellow visitors, and to join in with a picnic lunch. Light refreshments, teas, coffees and music provided – along with inspiration.
The ferry from Kylerhea runs 10am – 7pm and has a maximum of 12 foot passengers (£5 return or £6 with a bike) in addition to vehicles. It takes around 45 minutes to walk from the ferry to Cosaig Growers. Alternatively you can drive from Shiel Bridge over Mam Ratagan into Glenelg and just walk up the track from the village.
Once in the village, pass the shop on your left, continue to the Glenelg Inn past a few houses and take the track on your left and up about 500 yards to Cosaig Growers greenhouse and growing space. For those arriving by car, best to park at or near the village hall. Limited parking is reserved for those who cannot walk up the track.
Those coming for the ReRoot visit are likely to arrive at different times. I’ll aim to be at the entrance at midday (and again at 1pm or as arranged if I know that someone else will be coming). Otherwise, just go in and have a look around. Jake or Kate will be able to have a chat with us if a few are there at the same time.
Please let me know if you plan to come along and join with others from ReRoot – to aid coordination aomacl@tighgorm.scot
