Clean Air Day Scotland
The Clean Air Day Scotland campaign encourages people to ditch the car, particularly for the school run and other shorter trips, and instead walk or cycle quieter, less polluting side streets. Also switch off your vehicle engine if it is stationary and safe to do so, especially outside schools, shops and COVID-19 test centres, to reduce the risk of others breathing in harmful particulates.
The campaign urges people to consider some of the grants and opportunities to buy or lease an EV or try out an EV by joining a local car club. With more of us homeworking, can you choose low or zero-emission forms of transport such as cargo bikes or electric vans for essential deliveries?
You can encourage your organisation or business to take part, with toolkits and resources at https://www.cleanairday.org.uk/scotland, including the Clean Air Day Gaelic logo.
