Life’s a beach: marine litter open day

Everything you wanted to know about the marine litter problem but were afraid to ask!
Skye’s beaches are beautiful. But they also see a lot of marine litter. Come along to this free drop-in afternoon, hosted by Sleat Nature Group and Loughborough University’s 50-Years-of-Litter-on-Skye project, to see what all the fuss is about, and what we can do about it.
Through informal chats, interactive displays, workshops and kid’s games Life’s A Beach will help us all get an understanding of the issue of marine litter, its impact on whales, seals and other marine life, and the ways we can reduce and remove it and help our beaches look beautiful again.
Also along will be members from Skye Beach Cleans, Scottish Marine Animal Stranding Scheme (SMASS), Scottish Entanglement Alliance (SEA), Scottish Island Federation (SIF), Highland & Island Climate Hub, and more..!
