Environmental Standards Scotland: information for community groups and the public

Environmental Standards Scotland (ESS) was established as an independent body on 1st October 2021 to monitor compliance with, and the effectiveness of, environmental laws in Scotland.

This information event will provide those with an interest in the new body an opportunity to hear more about:

• the functions and powers of ESS;
• ESS’ intended approach to carrying out its role; and
• how people can raise concerns about the implementation of environmental law with ESS.
