Just Transition Commission: Final Report Launch event
Scottish Parliament has committed to ambitious emissions reductions targets that will require sweeping changes to many parts of our day-to-day lives. Scotland’s climate change legislation recognises the importance of a just transition, so that emissions are reduced in ways that are fair and that leave no-one behind. To help to meet these objectives, the Just Transition Commission was established in 2019, to deliver practical recommendations to Ministers by March 2021.
This event marks the launch of the Just Transition Commission’s final report. Participants will find out about the key themes of the report, its recommendations and next steps. They will also have an opportunity to pose questions to the Commissioners.
