DESCRIPTION:The Marine Conservation Society is running the Great British Beach Clean for a week of citizen science from 18th – 25th September 2020. Like many events\, this year the Great British Beach Clean looks a little different. SUMMARY:Local Area Energy Plans and Future Energy (Scotland)
DESCRIPTION:Organised by Scottish and Southern Energy Networks:  \n“As part of our stakeholder engagement programme\, we are  hosting events for stakeholders to support the development of Local Area Energy Plans (LAEPs) and SSEN’s annual Distribution Network Future Energy Scenario (DFES) analysis for our central southern England and north of Scotland licence areas. \nThe shift to net zero energy systems will require changes to our network\, as electricity demand and the need to connect cleaner sources of energy generation increases. As part of RIIO-ED2\, SSEN will therefore need to make strategic investments to its network to meet this need. \nThis event is for all stakeholders who are involved in the process of LAEPs including: \nLocal councils and Parish councils – sustainability\, economic development\, planning\, energy and housing officers \nRegional bodies – LEPs\, combined authorities\, Local Energy Scotland\, UK100\, statutory joint committees \nLocal MPs and MSPs \nUniversities\, Hospital Trusts (any other large heat loads) \nLocal organisations involved in energy generation\, supply\, management and advisory services \nCharities \nDevelopers of buildings\, heat networks and local energy projects \nTransport providers \nEV charging point operators \nBuilding and heat trades and their supply chain i.e. heat pump manufacturers \nLocal business representatives i.e. Chamber of Commerce\, Federation of Small Business \nConsumer representatives \nLocal Energy Hubs \nCommunity energy groups \nEnergy generation and storage developers” \nFor more information and to register click here.
